I live in a desert state. I might have to drive more than 50 miles to repair or replace a tire. What would be a fair price to pay for a full size spare tire wheel polished or unpolished ? I have seen one for sale, OEM used polished for $245.00 + shipping. Tire not included. Can the full size cover be ordered and what is the cost?

A New one is considerably more.
I'd say that is a good deal.
If you watch the classifieds you may save a few scoobies , most would have the tire mounted already.

I paid $300 and shipping for mine, it included everything, tire, wheel, mounting hardware. The wheel is not polished, and most importantly, it had never been used.
I have a spare full size cover if you need it.

Get one after market (cast wheel) and use it for a spare......I think they sell sets of 4 for $600 or so??
If I did it I would put a rear tire on it as the Posi won't like 40 miles or more with two different sizes!!:shake:

Wow $300 for a full size painted wheel. If I had known people would be willing to shell out that kind of money for a spare I would have charged more for mine. For that money you could have just bought a full size polished wheel as the spare, with a tire. The hold downs are junkyard items.

New OEM wheel is about three and a half, discounted.
Raw, they're a little less.
Like M Jack said, if you get a rear tire size mounted to your spare, when you need it in the back, you're covered.

If you are buying it is 9 carat gold. If you are selling it is 27 carat gold.
The 287th rule of Aquisition.

Yep, the hold down, cover... they are junkyard items, or you can just get it in all one shot, then not have to track parts down. $300 is probably the least $$$ any mod is going to cost me on a car.
