As I get more used to this vehicle I've become more aware odd little things. I have noticed a very slight surge when the MM is first started for the day and driven slow. When I first start out I drive slow/gentle for the first few minutes to give everything time to stabilize. With very little throttle I feel a slight surge. I don't recall noticing it before I loaded Lidio's 91 octane tune.

For those of you more experienced with the MMs would this be because of the tune or maybe something like a dirty mass air sensor. Once warmed up or on warm restarts I don't feel the surge.

Of course maybe I am the only one who drives slow so no one else has noticed the surge because they use gross throttle inputs. <grin>

It doesn't really bother me however in October we will be going on a long vacation thru VA, MD, NJ, NY and loop back thru Canada to Winnepeg and back down to Iowa. I'm looking at the MM for anything that may indicate reliability problems since I've only owned it since May. Thanks, Rick

But you are not alone I get it as well every month or so. Its so random that I can't pin point it.

Mine does it also when in "Open Loop" (only a minute or so) as it warms up??

After it switches to "Closed Loop" it is fine.....I think it has always done it too??

Same here. I thought it might have been the tune, but it does it with the stock tune as well. I cleaned the MAF meter and my air filter, but it still does it. Again, it's only for the first minute or so after a cold start.

Thanks for the feedback. I feel better knowing it is not unique to my MM. Rick
