OK, I found it hard to call this thread..."Butterflies." So yeah, not cool car pictures, but these were neat to take. Today I was at my friends wedding and after I got out of my tux (there was a sight!) I nabbed my camera. They let some butterflies loose and they promptly landed on some nearby bushes. I took a few shots, and thought they came out pretty cool. Makes me wanna take more candid nature shots...

So yeah, next time I promise to point my lens at hot rods or something, but still neat pics I think. :)

Nice job, Mike. I can't pick out my favorite because they're all good!! The narrow depth of field makes the butterflies pop!!

Looks good!...Your buddy may want to add some of those shots to their wedding album. Were you the wedding photographer?

My brother in law took a picture of a space shuttle launch, and sent it in to a contest, he got it in a photography book, and printed in a calender, I think you should try to sell some of your work, might be nice.

Absolutely beautiful!
I never understood why Mercury gave such an ugly car the name of such a beautiful creature.

Nice captures! Glad someone else shots nature

Beware it can be addicting, you may find yourself sitting for hours waiting for a shot to happen. It is hard to get birds, animals, etc. to take direction :)

I had one of those buggers stuck in my grille today. He didn't look so prestine though.

Nice shots... Title reminded me of what I was thinking about yesterday evening, when my grandkids visited a few weeks ago we saw/listened to cicadas, catydids, June bugs, and lightning bugs (fireflies). My granddaughter was amazed as the most common bugs she has experience with in Raleigh is mosquitoes and fire ants.

AUG '05, we got sent down for Recovery Support after Hurricane Katrina. Company paid for our room and board at a Bed and Breakfast. Old Antebellum house, converted was cnverted into a B&B.

In the yard, there were tropical plants and a few unbeleivable specimen of Banana Spider. Things were the size of your hand. The largest arachnid I've ever seen in person.
