There are switches on the driver's door for the power mirrors and the window lock. Should these switches light up? The switches for the four windows and four door locks always light up whether the dash lights are on or off.

Should only work with the dash light on.
At least mine do. (300A)

The switches for the power mirrors and the master lock for the windows never light up (regardless of whether the dash lights are on). Should they ever light up? All of the other switches on the driver's door panel are always lit--although it is difficult to see the lights in the daytime.

My door switches are always lit, except for the ones BlueMarauder mentioned. Also difficult to notice in the daytime. I will have a good look in my garage for when they come on. Once I've noted their operation I'll have a closer look at the wiring diagram and figure out what the manual says they should be doing.
The manual's been wrong twice thus far, BTW...

mine dont light at all, they never have. When I get into the car at night sometimes I have a hard time finding the lights, it seemed to me like they should light up. Thanks guys! I thought it was an oversight. I'll get it checked out.

I had a quick look at the wiring diagram. It *looks* like the driver's side pod should be lit at all times, from the way the driver's side switch module is wired. However, I saw something peculiar... it almost looks like the lighting to the other 3 doors (passengers) is cut when the the window lock is activated. I'll have to try that in the garage in a few minutes...

Look at your passenger's power window buttons as you toggle the window lock on/off. You'll see that they will go dark when you lock out the passenger window controls. Cool. Just like the wiring diagram seemed to imply.
The door lock buttons however did not go out in any circumstance so I'm assuming they stay on all the time. But that's another circuit for another day...
