:beer:Just some feedback for my quest in a new daily. The new one I'll likely be picking up is in Texas. A Silver 04' with 45k for 15k. I think its a hair steep since it is 100% stock but that damn color premium...
I've got a bid and 35 watches on my ebay auction for my MM for 10,900. Thank god! I'll be honest I thought it would hold its value better but...the paint is falling off. I think that if I didn't have the paint issues I could get another grand out of it. THANKS FORD!! (*******S PAINTERS!) :bigcry: FYI, My mom paid 50k for a 740i Sport BMW. 3 years later she traded it in and only got 12k for it. Thats an ASSLOAD of depreciation. A loss of about 300$ isn't ANYTHING, plus I sold it without the proguard or x-cal 2.
I feel very confident that my next MM I'll have for a long time. I debated on going to an AMG C32, E39 M5, Charger R/T. And I'm just brought back to the badass-isms of the Marauder. Its a Ford, so its cheap. I'm a huge mustang tech/mechanic so working on it is cake. Also they are dead nuts reliable!!! My car may have the paint falling off like a flakey glazed donut thats been left out for 4 days. But I love that car, how it drives, how it rides, how I feel when I'm driving it, and the looks I get from people either going NICE!! or WTF IS THAT!?
I've been looking my tail off for a blue and amazingly I've found a few good ones but the milage is a little high. I've found alot of silvers and blacks. I think that if I could visually inspect in person some of the 100k blue's I've found and they look good I'd get one. But getting a 100k car over the internet is kinda scary.
Prices for an MM? Holy crap they are all over the charts. I see some people asking 20K+ for a car with 30k on it. Then I'll see someone asking 15k for the same exact car witht he same milage. If you hunt right now you can find a Marauder for very cheap. Some people are willing to pay the price for the "special colors" but in reality when you go to sell if you don't find someone that wants that color too, your screwed.
My advice to all of you is this. Keep your merc's in top shape. Don't let em slide. Waxing them is a pain in the ass because I can do my 18ft Maxum boat faster. (really its true my wife and I stopwatched it) Enjoy them and drive them the way they were ment to be!! Keep these cars beautiful so when you do see another one on the road in 10 years you can wave and both take pride.
However nothing is finallized just yet...SO IF YOU KNOW OF A BLUE WITH BLACK INTERIOR UNDER 50K TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may even settle for the LF.
Thanks for all the help from members on mm.net and all the tech help that this forum has provided. I'm excited to remain a part of it while owning an MM.
