Who has a bottle heater? How do you like it? Does it keep a steady pressure? Better performance with it?
If you have nitrous and dont have a bottle heater, thats just plain stupid.
Varying pressures in the bottle (from not using a heater) seriously alter the A/F ratio and could lead to a blown engine....
uh, that happened to you didnt it?

If your just going to be insulting DON"T bother talking. I did not ask a question to get flamed.
I had an engine oiling issuse NOT a A/F ratio issuse.

If Zack was sandpaper he would be coarse grit, don't mind him.
The bottle heater is good idea I would think especially as you go with a bigger shot.

Hey pal, common sense, thats all!

I've got another 'your stupid' if ya don't have....
A company came out with a bad ass regulator that mounts on the bottle. You set the pressure and thats what you get. IE tune your nitrous for 850psi. Use your bottle heater and get it to around 1000-1100psi. Through the entire run you will only be using 850 (unless it drops below 850). But this is great to help consistancy and tuning. I ran nitrous ALOT and just as I got out of it that nifty little mod came out. I think the company that makes it is called dynotunning or something. Great Idea...
Because without it you do the bass ackwards thing and use the most power out of the hole (wasting traction, and blowing the tires off) and then at the top of the track your bottle PSI is down low and you're not picking up as much because your nitrous is coming in slower and your fuel the same so you're bogging'r down.

I saw those regulators, Zex has there own too. I does look like a nice piece, I might do that too. I bought the bottle heater last night so I will start with that.
I think Pat has one of those on his car.

By not using a heater, the worst that could happen is it would go rich, not lean, and you would slow down.
But I do agree, using a heater or regulator is the way to go. I have heaters on both my bottles.

I have Zex's wrap style heater and I hate it!
This is my third one now, and every one has done the same thing.
It heats the wrap up as soon as you turn it on, and turns itself off after a few moments and never turns on again.
I wish I could find a heater that actually worked consistantly.

Oh lord.
It has a built in thermostat that turns it off when optimum temp is reached.

The NOS style ones work really well. I used it with a bottle blanket.
To do nitrous consistantly takes damn near as much money as a blower.

Thats when you say forget it and purchase a blower.

I like blowers but I don't think I can run one with my compression now. I don't want to turn my MM into a race car, just a quick street car.
You could safely run 10psi or more with compression up to 11.5:1...especially with a built motor.
