Yesterday I went to the gas station...As many that live in the DMV(CAM terriroty) there were some storms that came thru yesterday. Back to the gas station...I open the gas door and go to pump gas and its standing water in the door area. While I was pumping my gas I got a towel and soaked up as much as I could, the rest I tried to "force" out. Whats this about?:help:

This just happened on the Taurus Sho I have.
The weep hole in the botton was plugged.

Look in the left rear wheel opening above the tire about 2 o'clock position, as you look at the tire. Find the end of a small rubber tube poking through the inner fender. This is the drain and is probably plugged. Open the gas filler door, make sure cap is on tight, grab the garden hose or air hose and blast into the drain tube from inside the fender to clear the drain.

Tito, not a problem. Has happened to me twice before. The little drain hose from the area gets plugged up sometimes. Easy fix .... if the gas station sells/serves coffee, go in and get one of those little stirrer straws. The drain hose is in the far right inside the fill area (inside the door). Just fish around for the hole and use the straw to clean it out or remove the obstruction.
PS -- Don't drop the straw in the hole. ;)

This is a perfect example of a tidbit of wisdom that should be stored in the garage forum.
