will a 4r70w trans fit into a 1990 granmarque without any mods?

Either rebuild the AOD, have someone do the AODE gear swap, or go with an older trans like a C4.

That tranny will not mate to a 5.0

PERIOD. Do a 4.6 swap while you're at it
