What computer code is my car?

Its an 04 SB. I'm not sure if the guy I'm buying the car from will be able to get it for me, or if he'll read it right.

Will the VIN help?

It should be posted on a sticker on the left side of the dash when you open the drivers side door. I'm pretty sure yours would be MAV2.
