I've seen this guy on the interstate before, made a half-ass attempt at a run, traffic kept it from happening plus we were already running 45mph and a light blue GM was the last thing he was watching his rearview mirror for. Well, on the way to work the other day, he pulled out behind me on a two lane section of road before getting onto the interstate. He acted like he wasn't into it, so I figured it was a no-go. A couple of miles later, he ended up beside me, got the jump on me and we went from another highway roll, about 50 mph, he stayed out in front of me the amount he jumped me before mine downshifted. We give the usual wave and I get off my exit. He pulls in behind me.
I turn the corner, keep it in first and creep, waiting to see what he'll do. He gets up beside me and tries to get the jump again, this time I'm ready! We gag it, get through two gears and some of high gear before catching, of all things, the only slow sport bike rider I've ever encountered. We stayed dead even, until getting in high gear, when I managed to pull him a fender, was creeping away from him when we let out! Best part was seeing the SLP longtubes and full exhaust on the car and hearing that it was a 6-speed car. Nothing feels better than Camaro for breakfast!!!

Nice kill. Gotta watch out for the LS1's though, they're still a good, easy HP/TQ motor.

Sorry not to blow up spots...
If I am reading right you pulled ahead a fender and then you both slowed down due to the bike? And this was after a going threw two gears? You don't think the 6spd would of caught you when he shifted and you were topped out?
I guess wining is wining...

I pretty sure he was in 4th gear, if I heard correctly. After he hit 4th, I shifted into high gear (3rd) and started to creep out on him. I'm pretty sure more distance would've meant more of a win for me, but I'm not sure.
And it was an LS1 car, looked to be an '01 or '02 by the headlights. Don't know my GM's that well.
Thanks, it was a pretty good, barely-kill. Air was horrible, too. After the run on the interstate, I'm pretty sure I was at max heat soak on the M90 and the intercooler.

I'm speculating the Chamaro driver did not brag to his friends about a Grampa Key taking his hot rod down.
I love it!

Yeah, my wife calls it "the granny car" and I figure he will definitely be shopping online after that. But with him having the windows down, he should be WELL aware of the forced induction factor, can't help but hear that Eaton scream at 12lbs. :D

What size Eaton you got under the hood? Is it the M90 or M112?

M90 5th gen. Wish I could find a twin screw replacement that would fit in the valley. That's the only downside to this blower setup, it's like the earlier Saleen and SVO blower kits for the 2V Mustangs, the blower sits below the manifold in the valley.

I know that Kenne Bell makes Twin Screw kit for 2v 96-04 Mustang. Is your 2v motor similar to Mustang?
I realize that you would have to change your entire set up, not sure if you want to go through that.
You could always sell your current set up to offset some of the cost for the new set up.

The problem with the Mustang kits is the throttle body comes out above the passenger side valve cover, and I don't know if I would have room with the heater case and wiper cowl being so close. Don't have any exact measurements (I contacted several companies that make these positive displacement blower kits to no avail) to check for fitment, plus our EGR comes up on the passenger side, the Mustangs come from the drivers side.
I think I can make it do all I need/want it to with some other mods. I still have the stock Mustang PI heads/cams on the motor, stock converter and trans. Some definite room for improvement is there. I think converter is going to be next, just looking at what's out there and which direction I should go. I have been reading a lot of old threads on here to get the skinny on converters and tuning (i.e. using lock-up at WOT vs. leaving it unlocked) to figure out which way I wanna go.
