What is the differences between the AVIC D series like D1, D2 and D3.

I would like to have a unit that can can play CD and DVD at the main unit and also have navigation. Not worried about bluetooth, iPod or XM at the moment. I may be getting a new phone that has bluetooth so it's an option but not really needed and also rear view camera would be nice.

I've driven in another owners car that had a D3 I believe and I really liked it. I plan on taking a trip down to FL sometime this fall and really need the dvd playback to keep the wife busy and myself once we change seats but also we will be making several 2-4 hr trips here and there from now to the end of the year. A kept busy wife is a happy husband ;)

Also what's the info on the AVH-P4000DVD in-dash unit?

Professional opinions welcomed.

The 4000DVD will only do video and has no Nav.
The D3 did video and Nav but are no longer available.
To do both you need the AVIC F90 BT which is the new model.

Now that's a dayum shame.

F90 is the way to go for your needs. The install would be very straight forward for your application.
