I put a open element conical filter on my Marauder today, just have to make up the mounting bracket and engine air shield... Until I make the bracket up, the stock lower airbox does a lovely job of holding it in place. :)

Here's the first pics...

Will post more when the setup is finished...

Are you going to remove the silencer as well? I have read conflicting advice as to it's impact, if any, on air flow...

does that filter slide over the maf sensor or is there some kind of adapter on there . i see you have something shiny between the filter and maf sensor but i dont have that on my car.

Maybe you should come up with some kind of cold air intake, as just putting a big K&N in would allow hot engine bay air into the intake.We have it pretty easy with the SS, the airbox is in the corner with plenty od access to outside air, I just opened up the stock box and made an airdam for it from a windshield reflector.

That's exactly what we're fabricating, is a enclosure and piping for a CAI..
