Gentlemen, My 04 SB squeaks at low speed (sounds like a frame bushings are dry) and sometimes even when I slam a door. I discovered the squeak is was gone if I popped the hood and repeated the door slam. My 03 CV sport has the same condition. I had a body shop adjust the hood and it seemed to alleviate the problem for a short time (my imagination?). Has anyone encountered this problem and successfully solved it?

Yes,
Bring up the hood bumpers and lock em down with lock nuts so they dont turn back down and grease the F%^% out of the hood latch, mechanism and the tang on the hood that goes into the latch and it will go away.

put a jam nut under the hood stops, and try a felt washer soaked in silicone spray on the hood where the bump stops touch
I had the same problem with my 04, thought it was a tie rod end
(My Town Car had made the same noise and it was a tie rod end)
but my dealer SWORE it was the hood latch!
I didnt quite beleive him at first, but after greasing the latch the
prob disappeared:)
Go fig.

Try a little bit of WD-40 on the hood snubbers/bumpers,it's a common problem, just like sticking door seals.

Gentlemen, Thank you for the advice. Additional thanks to "Bluerauder" for the link to ancient wisdom which has two very appealing suggestions. One regards the "magic sliders" from "The Donk". I have used these on lots of different furniture and office cabinets. They truly do work as advertised. However the first fix I will try came from "Bad Merc". The hood isolators seem to address the problem elegantly and permanently. Thanks again guys! Steve
