engine whines and sounds supercharged

My engine in my mm whines and sounds super charged, it goes with the rpms.. i cant figure out what it is.. i thought it was the power steering pump but i changed it and its still making the noise. Has anyone else experienced or even heard of this before?

Hi Darkwun: I can appreciate what your saying, yes i have had it before:mad2:. You will have to pull off your serpentine belt and move all of your pulleys to see which one it is. I had an idler pulley and my water pump both going out. replaced them both and 'voila' no more noise. Its funny I to thought it was my power steering pump, but when I removed the belt I found that the pump was ok. Good luck on finding out the bad pulley.

Haven't had this, but look to the tensioner/pulley. Seems that needs replacing quite often.

I didn't have the sound until I changed my tensiorer pulley and idler pulley lol. Been making the noise for well over a year now and the pulleys are fine. Weird but I don't mind it lol.

Mine does it too sometimes - when I left of the gas when going WOT it squeaks like a blow off valve? Its werid and funny
