Just wanted to acknowledge Red for taking time out of his busy day to help out a fellow MM.net member...

I turned to Red for his opinion on the tires, and he graciously provided me with a load of info. I can use...

Thanks Red...I appreciate your support and friendship...

Special Thanks to Rich (magindat), my "white" Hawaiian Brutha...

You always have been there for me...Mahalo a nui loa...(Thank you, very much)...

You're quite welcome. If anyone has questions on tires, feel free to PM or simply post up in the Tires and Wheels forum.

Red and I have different opinions on tires and we're both right!! We can both back up our experiences with real world data.

Question is: Which will you choose my Island bound friend?

Will it be the Nitto - or the Goodyear? hmmm?

Whatever it is all the best to you, bud!!!!

PS Good to hear from ya Red. Where ya been?

I'm sleeping on it...:D

The Nitto's have the sizes I want...but poor wet traction performance...:o

The others have better reviews for wet traction, but smaller than I would like in terms of size...:(

And you know...SIZE is everything!!!:bows:

I got a few weeks before the wheels come in...Then it's time to pull the trigger...

I'm thinking that those Nitto 295's will be better than my stock rears when wet, despite the poor reviews...:dunno:

As much as I like to disagree about little things with you, you do know your tires.

Assumptions, assumptions. I actually listed the Nitto 555s as one of Randy's options. There were NO Goodyears recommended by me for his new setup (of course, if there were sizes available... :D).

Busy, and currently vacuuming flood water out of my place... thank God the Marauder's safe in the garage.

30" of rain in this area. Flooded living room, some outside damage including lights and roof, and debris in the yard. Only minor damage to contents, so just more of a PITA than anything. I appreciate the offer...

Yup, but not worth calling in the claim honestly (I'd probably get dropped). Just have to use the car funds to repair and replace. I'm just fortunate to have minor damages unlike others in the area.

Sorry to hear, bro. I grew up in your area. Pains me to hear old friends suffering damage.

Good luck. Holler if you need a hand/tools - whatever.
