The owner's manual AND the big sticker inside the gas door clearly spells out what type of fuel to use.;)

93? Really? I've been running regular leaded that we have stored in barrels since '78 is this not good?

Actually, I think that 91 is what's recommended in the manual.

Owner's manual says "Minimum of 91 Octane". I use Sunoco 93 almost exclusively since stations in this area only offer 87, 89 or 93.

Sorry to tell you.... but your leaded gas from 78 is no longer gas.

Charlie,

Same here, either Sunoco or Shell for me. The car seems to like Shell 93 octane, I get a little better mileage with it than I do Sunoco.

Sunoco huh. It's the first gas station that you pass coming out of your neighborhood. I try to find Sun Oil Company most of the time but my Marauder lives on a blend of Costco 93, West VA corn Liquor, and 151. Bacardi reduces knock with 23 degrees of timing. The Corn Liquor is injected instead of being mixed in the gas tank, similar to Methanol. When chilled Corn Liquor adds a cooling factor to your intercooler and stomachhttp://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Drinks/drinking-1.gif

And we have not discussed the interior gas with that mixture. Please do not light while driving! :D

Merc, I have the same mixture in my tank 95% of the time... Oh wait... We're talking about our Marauders... Nevermind. ;)

Per Federal Law, all gasoline sold in America must contain a minimum of 10% ethanol (corn lobby alcohol). My suggestion for gas would be any reputable name brand premium gasoline (91 or 93 depending on your modifications) from preferably a busy station. The busy station probably has somewhat "fresher" gas as a function of sales volume.

+1

Also, figure out the stations replenishing schedule and do not buy gas on those days.

Actually, its the last one on the right before turning into my neighborhood. :P That is very convenient since I prefer to top it off in the evenings.

Most of the pumps here only have 3 available nozzles. Can't say that I have ever seen 4 on a single pump .... but NJ does tend to be different. :P

At least some of you get 93. None of that here in Utah. Unless you get some 100 out of the pump and mix it.
