Mine went at 53,000... had to replace the compressor... probably rides like a tank now right?

Make sure it isn't blown. Not a normal size fuse. If it is the fuse and it blows again there is a problem with the system some where.

I just replaced mine (compressor&ride height sensor) several months ago, just out of ESP .
The car had 60K and is four + years old.

on the compressor there is a drier that is supposed to be replaced every two years or so, but nobody knows it. when it gets full, it stresses out the compresor and blows fuses, causes moisture to get to the solinoids, air bags etc.
you might get lucky and only need a drier or even clean off the ride sensor (debris etc)
