Hey all,
my air pump comes on ever 2 minutes while driving the car? Should the pump come on that often? No one in the car and the trunk is empty!

Should I be looking for a leak in the bags?

No it should not run that often.
My ride height sensor and the compressor went out recently, I would also check the height sensor.

When do I need to look for in the ride sensor? It's attached to the watts link right?

Yes Perry, and if you disconnect the arm that attaches the sensor to the Watts link arm, you can at least see if the sensor will move freely, If not, that may be why the compressor runs almost continually.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will have a look later this week when I get the rear shocks replaced:)

Start the car

Let the compressor fill the bags to normal height and then measure the wheel wells to the ground and write it down. Make sure nobody is in the car and dont add or remove anything or move the car. The system will operate if the car is slightly nose up like in a driveway or something. That will put some weight on the back forcing the compressor to raise the vehicle more than normally necessary and will force a discharge when you shut it in the following steps.

Shut off the switch in the trunk for the suspension, then shut off the car.

Measure the car immediately after shutting the car and listen for the compressor to discharge some air from the system after you close the drivers door. (I dont know if the system will discharge some air when the switch is thrown so you can wait until it finishes gurgling to make a measurement)

Anyway, if it does, measure it again noting the new height (will be slightly lower)

From that final measurement, then check the height every hour for about 5 hours. If it drops, you have a leak.

The last part above is the most important if I confused you. Just make sure that you check it with the system disabled so the compressor doesnt come on.
