Hello again all,
I have been denied service by 2 seperate Ford Dealerships in the last 24 hours for my 03 MM. Both initially agreed to service my car but after reading the Oasis report on my car or the MORSII customer contact report the first refused service and the second won't call me back.
Can anyone tell me whats contained in the Oasis & MORSII reports and how can I find out whats in mine?
My VIN # is 2MEHM75V73X611992 if anyone can use it to
:help:
Thanks,
Mike

I ran an Oasis report on your vin# and saw nothing unusual. Showed build date, delivery date, delivery milage, and all the drivetrain information for what your car has. Nothing to alarm me. RAY

Thanks Ray,
If thats the case then I don't understand whats going on other than none of these dealers want to mess with a MM.
Thats discouraging.
Mike
OK, I've never heard of an Oasis report. What am I missing?

Not sure what the exact abbreviation stands for, but it is basically a Ford kept database of your vehicle. The entire history of your vehicle is available to the Dealer thru that report.
Including your exact build date, any warranty claims, service issues and possible Recalls.
Nice to get your hands on, if you are buying a used vehicle.
Is there a place to log onto with your VIN and get your report?

Not sure. I don't think it's a public record.
There several F/L/M mechanics on board, who have kindly enough offered to look things up.
Send a PM to frdwrench, jefferson-mo, or search thru some threads to find people that have offered to look this up. There is another thread going right now (refusal of service) you can check.
Also, next time you go to your Dealer, just ask for a copy. They run a report every time, you take your car in. Your car = your report. Shouldn't be any problem.
Good luck!

The report is not public record, it's for dealer use only.
There is another report that only a Service Mgr. can get. That's a MORSII contact report. If you have had any contact with Ford Customer Service this report states all the conversation between you and the Customer Service rep. If you have contacted them, this is what they could be reading. They might read it and decide they don't want to get involved with your vehicle. Just a thought.
Like I said in the other thread, only your selling dealer MUST work on your car. Other dealers can refuse to perform work if they don't want to. the only time they MUST work on it, is if it's and emergency repair and you are over 50 miles away from your selling dealer. This is why you should concider where your are going to get your car serviced before you buy it. Like I said, our dealership works on cars from other dealers, but some may not. RAY

Ray, welcome aboard--been a Mercury buyer since '53--do you remember operation "Silver Shoes" in the mid '60s? Don't apologise for being "old"---just remember all the fun we had getting there that the "young-uns" will never experience. Got a great dealer--been with them since '84. We all really appreciate your input. Keep in touch. Maury (Old Man Marauder)

Sorry, in 53 I was only two. We have a few come to our cruise night. How about a 53 Sun Valley. Yellow with a green glass roof!!!. I remember the orginal Marauders, 63-70. Love to have a 64, 427, Marauder. There's one around the Phila. area. Maroon with dual quads. Nice car!!!
