I was looking for a decent way to mount my ScanGuage2 into my MM and was going to mount it in the overhead console, replacing the compas. Then I would get a rear view mirror with the compas in it. This started to become an expensive project, and would not let me use the ScanGuage2 in my other vehicle(s). I found an alternative that is in Beta testing (1/2 of retail price). I ordered 2 of them so I can swap my stuff depending upon the vehicle I'm using. Hopefully the images get attached. Here is the page on the web site ( http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=mgt&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=610302150&Count2=527442574&CategoryID=29&Target=products.asp )

I fore see a problem.
The picture looks fine but as you said you have an overhead console with a compass right where your Scangauge2 mount is.
Unless you take the compass out and remove the overhead console compass mount, it is going to be in the way of the Scangauge2.
Or are you going to use the Lower mount.
Then you will have another problem, you won't be able to see under your mirror.
None of this is a problem if you are short., but unlike the pictured mirror you can't look over the mirror because the compass is in the way...
Why not just get a clip for your visor and mount it there?
You might just make it so the scangauge2 clips to a custom mount where your Compass is.

I fore see a problem.
It will fit fine. I have a ScanGuage mount that fits on the top and there is plenty of room with the overhead console. I will say I am interested in combining the Val1 in one mount.

I might have to stick a scanguage on the top of mine, i dont want to rip out my compass or cut a hole in the factory trim.

Can you post some pictures once you get it installed?

I was considering getting a full overhead console and having a scangauge mounted in it before replacing my little console.
