The amount of Marauders for sale lately is alarming!
I realize the "economy stinks" and "fuel prices" are through the roof, but in some cases I think people are selling because they're scared that the values are going to drop to ridicules level. Which they already have! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

In my opinion, they're going to be a whole lot of people out there that will have regreted there decision to sell there Marauder. What other vehicle has all the luxury, room, power potential, modern features, full frame, rear wheel drive, and collectablity of the Marauder for the money.

So if you are in a position to keep your "beast" keep it. Most importantly don't give it away and drive the prices down even further.

I plan on keeping mine for awhile, how about you?

I bought mine from my father and I'm spending the $$$$ to rebuild the thing. In the end it is going to cost me more than buying a cheap one here but what fun is that!? I've just spent $7000 rebuilding and painting and I still need a SC Aluminator built trans and some big brakes:)

Ya I'm keeping mine for a long time,
P

the dealership used car buyer has told me on several occasions that when one is going thru the lane at Auction, that the Marauder is bringing crazy money right now...Like $14-$16K for 2004's with high mileage...

Keep your cars folks...it will be an investment. I am NEVER selling mine!!!

Keeping mine as well. Have pulled it from "daily duty" at 49k miles. As I've said here and on other car boards, I believe these cars will do well in the future. They made a modest amount of them, only 2 year production, last 4 door muscle car from Mercury and truly unique driveline for the vehicle...not much of that happens these days.

Enjoy them!

i'm thinking of fixing my firebird, selling it, and getting a MM for summer driving...

at this point, prices are too low not to take advantage of it.

"And I got 'em all"

I bought mine a month ago. 03 with 18K miles. I had been looking at them for a few years and the price was finally right. I sold a 70 Challenger SE that I just finished restoring and then used some of the money to buy the Marauder. Almost all the collector car prices are lower right now. I expect the Marauders will go up along with the other collector cars in the future. This has happpend before (gas prices and other stuff goes up and collector car values drop) and prices will go up again. NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY and then enjoy your new vehicle and make a few bucks later when you sell.

With my wife on maternity leave, I can drive her Saturn for daily duties. I'm never planning on selling.

My heart still skips a beat when I see another Marauder driving around. Just like it did before I bought one...... Like a schoolyard crush

I would love to say its mine forever but with my wifes chance of reocurring breast cancer hovering in our face and always on are minds plus not working much these last few weeks i have come to learn that my car just like everything that i own if needed would be for sale in an instant to keep my familly going. I love my car more than i would ever have thought but it is replaceable and i wish that to never be the case. Basically i've been threw alot in the last year and its amazing how priorities can change in a moments notice. Sorry didn't mean to bring anyone down its been a rough week.

Although Silverback is still my daily driver and it has battle scars on all vertical panels it still looks terrific when I close the door and walk to the shop looking back.

61K and running great. Not driving it as much, just mandatory trips to save gas money. I may not be buried in it but I do want it at my furneral in the hands of one of my two sons or two grandsons.

Been there, done that. 04 MM and 95 Bronco EB 5.8L (ported heads, cam, full Bassani exhaust, K&N FIPK, American Racing wheels - it's loud, but not real fast) for the crappy weather days.

PS I plan to keep my MM forever, too.

Bought mine, sold it, bought it back....NOT FOR SALE AGAIN. Didnt think i cared when I sold it, but missed it when it was gone. I like it more that I don't drive it everyday. It makes me love the car when I do drive it.

You didn't bring anybody down, friend, and I'm glad you've got your head screwed on right.

As much as we ALL love our vehicles (whatever they may be), the truth of the matter is that cars come and go, and family is more precious than anything.

Very best wishes for ongoing health & happiness!

I would not sell such a car because of some gas crisis.

And if the MM was a little bit more reliable on the long run, I would even consider buying a second one as a daily driver. It would be the right moment as there are a plenty of them for sale. Any crisis brings opportunities...
