Remember seeing something a while back that was for replacing the spider gears in are differentials, mine seem to be done after 70k miles. Anyone know the part # and where to get it from?

I have the kit in stock here call Jackie, but if it was me. I would rebuild the whole track lock and use the new Kevlar clutch kit

If new are too pricey (I Have no idea what they cost), you can find a good used trac loc on ebay for nearly nothing. I paid like $50 for a complete trac loc. All the 8.8 trac locs are the same. The newer ones like the MM's has some upgrades (it can take more clutches, it looked like -- and it also has rounded ends that hold the clutch tabs instead of a rectangular cut out) but they interchange fine. I have a 90s Mustang posi carrier, the ebay one, in my MM right now. The clutches looked fine and the breakaway torque was actually HIGHER on the used mustang posi, than the MM 30k mile stock unit, so I just put the whole thing in. Good to go for $50.

I got a used one off eBay also. Just have to replace the clutches. And it's a 31 spline to go with my new axles.

Nothing wrong with low mileage used parts-- heck if his stockers failed at 70k, low mileage used may last longer that the stock stuff did. For low price low mileage OE stuff you can't go too far wrong

Mine is about 300 miles under 180,000 and still....:burn:

I guess stationary "Burnouts" are what kills them??
