Hi all,
I am new here, just bought a Silver 03 MM. I have a couple of questions. Does anyone know where I can find detailed info. on my specific car. Mercury/Ford Customer Service doesn't give out reports on new cars anymore. On my Door Data Plate, my car does not have a DSO on it, which has aroused my curiosity.
I am also planning on putting a set of Flow Master mufflers on it. Has anyone had any good/bad luck with the flow masters on the Marauder?

Howdy, kenc. Welcome to the site and to the great fraternity of MM owners. Use the search function on the homepage and put in Flowmaster or Exhaust and you should get a number of threads which have discussed this issue. I know there are several people on this site who have put on Flowmasters.

I have the Flowmaster 40 Series DeltaFlows with the resonator-delete Megs tips from Innovative Interceptors. I posted some pretty descriptive threads on my mufflers--search for "muffler" and read the "mufflers and tips" thread (I think). Here's a recap:

Flowmaster 40 Series DeltaFlows:
Not quite as loud or beefy as a Camaro SS w/SLP exhaust, but comparable to a Mustang GT with stock exhaust. Nice rumble at idle (not very loud, but audible). Very nice rumble (and significant interior drone) at 1,000-1,800 RPMs under low to moderate throttle (but that's where I wanna hear it anyway). Almost silent inside the car at 70 MPH cruising speeds at 2,000 RPM (no interior drone). Very nice roar at WOT. Some roar also on deceleration. About 30% louder than with the Magnaflows. How do I like 'em? I LOVE THE SOUND FROM THE FLOWMASTERS + TIPS!!!

14" Magnaflows:
Pretty sound under throttle, but quiet otherwise. TOO quiet. No sound at idle. No sound under deceleration.
