My heat and air just stopped working on my Marauder. I can hear the compressor come on but nothing is blowing out the vents. this happen before but when i adjusted the fan level, it was almost like it was stuck and it started back working. Does anyone know what this could be?
Thanks in advanced!

The AC/Heater Fan speed module went out in the wife's MM last year.

Click here to see how to change it out. (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=42329&highlight=Heater+fan)

As I recall it was a $100 (Give or take) part.

You might want to take a test light and make sure you have power at the control module before you replace it.

The issue is common on the 2003 MGM, CV and MM.

In 95 %, the cause is the EATC unit. A good working EATC unit for MM/CV/MGM sell for 150-200 bucks on ebay. Much less than what the dealer will ask you !

It's the A/C head unit. I had to replace mine last summer. You can get one from a junkyard, but the problem is nothing will work from before 2003. You can get one from a GM, but that still cost me like $180 though a junkyard, but it has a warranty.

It's super easy to replace. Pop off the silver stripping by the passenger side to the clock, disconnect the clock, take off the silver, unbolt the four bolts for the head unit, unsnap (is that a word?) the wires for the a/c head unit and it's out. Reverse for the install and you are back to being blown!

I did notice that the AC headunit was kinda hot to the touch.
