Finally got some vacation time last week, spent a week in NC specifically on the outer banks. First time I've been there. I had been to Kitty Hawk once before, but not down the outer banks.

Anyway, one night there was a storm cloud off the Atlantic ocean. It was sparking with some internal cloud-to-cloud lightning every 5-10 seconds.

I setup the tripod and used varying shutter speeds of 10-30 seconds to see what I could capture. Some of the bursts were too dim to get captured, but I did manage to get a few long exposures with multiple hits.

The first two were at ISO 1600

These were a bit clearer at ISO 800

These were lower shutter speeds so dimmer as I didn't catch as many bursts...

Yup, there were several there it was hard to find a shot that time of day without a wader fisherman in the shot. I didn't try fishing there myself but looked like a nice spot

I can hear "Riders in the storm" playing in the background, I think sung by the doors.
