Do you guys remember that wrecked MM on the lift I showed a while back? That's my Dad's friend's body shop. Well, since then, he's gotten two other Black's that he's saving. And guess what?! ADAM12's 8100 mile MM is also there that he's saving. I'm glad he's doing this, better to fix them and have a salvage title then be crushed and gone forever. By the way, he has an '03 with 68k on it that he's trying to sell. Was hit in the nose, all replaced with genuine Ford parts. He's looking between $10-12 I think, but he said he would try to make a deal. Granted it's a salvage, but you can still register it.

Exactly. Salvage cars tend to get 60-70% of a clean titled car. A clean '03 with 68k can be had for 12-13k.

I'm glad he is saving the cars, I hope he can recoup his money.

As i do body work i would like to get my hands on maybe one or two to do myself so just maybe he might sell me one that he has not got his hands into yet and still make a couple $$$ on the sale.

Registering a salvage titled vehicle in the state of MA is very difficult, unless it's already been inspected by the DOT.

It's my understanding that in MA it's against the law to sell a salvage vehilce for more than half of the book value...just what i've been told, no idea if thats true

I still do, and I know, I never made it to your meet. Are you free this weekend? But yet, the whole point is, I'm glad he's putting these treasures back together. I told him that's a bit high, but unfortunately, with the price he paid for it, and the parts to put it back together, he would barely be making anything off of it. So, I told him I'd post it here and see if anyone was interested. He has a '92 LX that I want too.
