I'm think aobut getting a Goodyear Assurance ComforTred (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Assurance+ComforTred&partnum=27TR6ACT&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=5) 225/70/16 with steel 16 as a full sized spare tire.

Non directional.

Any thoughts as a spare?

Why would you use a 16in. for a spare on a car with 18in. wheels

The 225/70/16 is about 3% smaller than the rear tire. Not suitable for long term use, but would be okay to get you to the tire store.

1.00734% smaller than my 245 55 18's. Same size as my Winter tires.

Why 16, cheap rims, easy to get tires and rims and they are not directional.

I suppose 225 60 18's would also work but how much is a wheel?
