one of my co-workers has a part-time job as a towing dispatcher. he told me about this car a few weeks ago, since he knows how much i like them, but said it was completely totaled and there weren't (m)any good parts on it. i couldn't imagine how bad of an accident it was, but the pictures tell the story:

i am trying to get the VIN so you guys know which marauder this was...

there was a really beat-up one for sale in this area last year.

i'm kinda hoping that it's the same car, because at least then it wouldn't have been a primo-condition one...

either way, still...OUCH.

I dont think that the driver seat will be any good. Even if you cleaned it would still smell like poo. WOW:eek:. Once again a good car saves it owner.

From what I've seen with towing businesses, the VIN is written on the invoice unless the car is still in the yard.

WOW...glad the driver was OK.

On another note, I see plenty of salvageable parts. If this car is going to the crusher you need to get these parts off it before hand.

- spoiler
- any good rims
- god's head centercaps
- exhaust tips
- rear lamps and smoked rear reverse lamps
- marauder specific interior parts if OK

That's just what comes to mind...

Yes i'd say still has parts that we (as the community) need!

Hope everyone was OK. Its always a relief to see that the passenger compartment is largely intact, despite being an extremely hard hit. Coudnt do that in a hyundai.

Its interesting that the windows on the passenger side didnt shatter.

That poor car really hit hard but it did protect the occupant( I hesitate to say "driver").
I'd say the 3 wheels it's still riding on look good and I believe the right front wheel looks like it wouldn't need much in the way of repairing and there's still a lot of salvageable parts left on it mechanically, and interior wise and even some sheet metal.I'd give a grand or two for it as it sits, the motor, trans and numerous other parts would fit real nice in my P71.

I think this is her second one, maybe the one that was for sale in Eastlake, it only had 43,xxx miles, and her's had over 80,xxx miles.

Time for her to pull the cell phone out of her ear and her head out of her azz before she kills somebody!

I am sure that the front two wheels are toast....it had to have hit a curb before hitting the pole....so they are prolly bent....and I doubt the engine survived that impact.....imho

I bet even the carpet felt that pole.

The tow truck driver said that the engine was in the passengers floor board. There was no curb, it was at an intersection of two country roads.

The "2" could also be 1-0 or the letter X. It is basically a check digit.

the tow company that inherited that impound has a very good relationship with our local police departments, so i doubt they'd ever say something untrue, but if it will make you feel better:

the driver is fine.

(yes, this is a fact... :D )
