You either have a lot of time or money... or both. The easiest way is to just remove the VIN tags from the firewall @ the dash, tus making the Marauder a Vic and vice versa. You can then change motors, dash, wiring interior etc..

Of course, you would be in violation of federal law in the states, but your mileage may vary up north of the border.:D

Your link worked fine, Mark. To show the image in the thread, you need the URL of the picture and then add the IMG tags beginning and end or use the little yellow mountain icon above the text window and paste the URL into the Script Prompt that pops up.

Couldn't i just cut the firewall out and weld it into the CV-L? and vise versa?

Maybe just a 12" by 12" section of it.

So who is going to make the convertible conversion?

No. Your car has it's VIN number stamped on hard to find and they won't tell you where spots around your car to keep you from doing VIN plate switches on stolen cars.

Do it the limo way and just cut your frame and body and add the extensions where needed.

Use a P70 frame/rear doors on a Marauder, fabricate the rest.

If it did not leave the Factory as a Marauder... it is NOT a Marauder.

I would love to a larger back seat. It feels kind of cramped in their with 2 people...

I think we all could agree on that!

You would have to cut the body in half, and add a 6" extention, or else you will fail horribly.

Well really butchering up a marauder is just a fail, you'd Epic fail.

Give up this "marauder L" project, first off we all know you wont do it, secondly it doesnt sound like you know how to do it, and thirdly you cant do it unless you either A cut the car in half or B make a clone from a P70

Put the money into your car, or buy a K car limo, but dont be butchering panthers just out of curiosity.

You know.... this is not actually a bad idea... if this were wanted. It would take either mad bank, or mad skill to achieve though.

There are those companies that stretch the Hummers, Vettes and whatever into the Limos.... so... why not a Marauder?

Add a built Motor, and Trans (easy on the shift firmness ;) ), along w/ all of the other beefed up goodies....and that is one limo that woould HAUL ASS!

WOO WOO!!!!

This is what I'm talking aobut, but how do I transfere the vin# from the Marauder to the P70? Legally

I don't think it is possible.

Limo companies do this all the time.

Cut the car in half... weld in all the extension support pieces, put it all back together with beefer suspension and a custom length driveshaft.

It is 100% ILLEGAL in both the United States and Canada to swap the VIN from vehicle to vehicle. The reason for this is for the record of the car, so it is known if the car had any accidents, if it has been written off, etc. You are not, legally, making a P70 into a Marauder by swapping VINs. It's IMPOSSIBLE. On the other hand, you CAN make a clone from a P70 and just live with the fact that the VIN says it's a P70 and not an M75/M79. Most of the interior parts will swap right out between them (you will need to use the P70 rear door panels, but they can be made to match the Marauder) as will the drive train and other electrical business. A Marauder L is a very unique idea, and if anyone had the money I'd say go for it! Just watch your speed, they use an elongated steel drive shaft in the P70.

Re thinking this, what if took a Marauder and put it on an P70 frame, with the back of the body, b pillar back from a P70 and left everything else as a Marauder.

Would that work?

put it on a salvage title or a custom and yes...
why not use the town car limo frame and just switch out the front and back clips?

If you want to do this buy 2 that have been wrecked and make one stretch out of it,so it will be a custom!
