I have a black 03 Marauder and my goal is to black out the entire car, I’ve had the rear trunk emblem removed, also have the tail lights tinted, am going to order a badgeless grill and tint the front lights
My question is about the chrome window trim?? What seems like the best method to make the trim black, without looking like ****?? Or can you buy the trim maybe from a CV or GM, which I believe both also come with the chrome if I’m not mistaken.
Any and all suggestions are welcome; I appreciate any ideas and comments, thanks again

I used trimbrite blackout tape and I think it looks great, you can get it at most auto parts stores.
Welcome to the site.

I was wondering about some kind of tape? first thought was electrical tape, but figured that wouldn't fly to well
The tape you mentioned last, as in resist the weather, i live in florida meaning a lot of rain, then sun, rain, then sun, sure you get the picture.
Thanks again

Mine seems to hold up good, no issues here, it's worth a shot it's only like $4 a roll, you'll probably need 2 rolls.

Good Deal, just googled "TrimBrite Blackout Tape" and seems to fit the bill perfectly. That was much easier than I anticipated and seems awfully easy to do as well.
Thanks again

I've seen a blacked out Yukon w the headlights and turn signals tinted, it wasn't real heavy but it gave it a nice look. Looked like a SWAT truck
I'm thinking since ours lights already have a dark interior, a light shade on the outside will give it the perfect look. I saw one picture on here somewhere of a Blk marauder w the front lights tinted, looked real good

Got any pics of what your car looks like with the trimbrite? How easy was the installation?

I'll try and get some pics for you Jon, its raining pretty good here today so it might have to wait til tomorrow, as far as the install, its very simple, just clean the chrome with some rubbing alcohol, and just stick it on, you'll some scissors and an exacto knife that's about it.

Currently I have stock gears. I spoke to Lincoln/Mercury Tech and he stated changing gears from 3.55 to 4.10 would increase speedometer by about 5 mph, affect trany and increase gas mileage. Is this true? I know alot of MM's have 4.10's.

I run 4:10s and yes, of course they decrease gas mileage a little bit as you are turning a few more rpms per mile. My speedo is a bit slow but by less than 2 MPH at 80. Performance is considerably increased off the line and well worth the above downside imho. I have no idea what this has to do with blacking out the window trim, however. Dennis:burnout:

Ive had the Trimbright Blackout Tape on the window trim since early '03 w/no problems - the car is outdoors 24/7/52.
