Dont bother, Top gear is a british run program, and they all think our cars suck.

80% if not more of the american cars that they review, they hate in one way or another.

Do, Not, Email, TOPGEAR!!!!!!!11111

+1 to dont bother, remember these cars from the factory arent that great with what out there. MODS CHANGE everything, thats why most of us have mod lists the size of OJ's rap sheet.

So if he rolled into Marauderville would you politely roll out the welcome mat or make him sit in the corner?

I nearlly kicked my TV set after that one episode where they drove from Florida to New Orleans in $1,000 cars. :mad2:

I really hope none of them ever set foot on this continent again.

If you want to hear them bash the Marauder go right ahead and send them an e-mail (or a few thousand e-mails).

They won't give a crap about the Marauder....

For god sakes they never even gave the 03/04 Cobra's a chance and they were MUCH more of a force than the 05+'s they keep testing and making fun of....

We build most of our 300hp+ cars with one thing in mind.......from light to light or straight ahead performance except for a few examples (Z06,Viper,CTS-V)
The Europeans build most of their cars expensive or not in taking handling and performance and making them work together for a slightly better ride experience, don't get me wrong I love my Marauder and my 5.0 but when it comes to advanced engineering the Europeans have it down pact hence why the gang from Top Gear trash our cars on a daily basis, but things are changing as we speak just look at the '09 CTS-V (which will be in my stable in a few years)

what are you going to write about? asking them to review a 4 year old car that isn't in production? that is going to fail miserably in their road course...lets not forget this car wasn't terminated because it was planned as a limited production, it was gone because it didnt sell as well as thought it would.

dont get me wrong, i love these cars, but man it does not belong on top gear.

you can send them a fan letter if you really love the show and you can mention that you have a marauder and if they have any oppinions on it, but that is about it.

sry don't want to burst your bubble

Go for it, what's the worst that could happen? I think they should test a s/c one though or maybe Zack's V-10 Monster lol.

I think Top Gear actually has good information when it comes to cars.

Like a poster said - American cars are built for light to light speed, or 1/4 speed. European cars are built to be driven. I find a M5 or RS4 to be the pinnacle of sedan performance.

4 doors, extremely peepy, and handles like a dream. That said are S/C Marauders faster? Of course! But does a S/c Marauder have the luxury, the ride quality, and the everyday driveability (i mean EVERYDAY rain, snow, no weird shift patterns, good MPG, etc etc) as a M5 or RS4? No way.

Its REALLY hard to compare cars from the two groups because they are built for totaly different reasons. If I hit the lotto tomorrow my daily driver is going to be a S4 or M3 because of its well rounded performance and driving. For all around speed more then likely a Porsche.

And for silly 1/4 times and burnouts a Cobra.

People just need to keep in mind who built the car and why. I would equare our MM to a 318 or 328 BMW. Comparing it to a M3 is a stretch - mainly because 2dr vs 4dr and of course the M3 is more engineered in terms of power and driveability.

The 3 series is a mid size sedan, the 5 series (like the mm) is a full size.

And they DO make 4dr M3's

Not to offend any one here but some of you could lighten up
Top Gear on BBC america is better programing than most programing
here in the U.S.
personally one of my favorite shows.
the episode in Florida was just hillarius
they make just as much fun of them selves as they do Americans
sorry if I offendend any one, I just happen to think this show is very entertaining, come on now the "fat stig" for america was as funny
as the toga wearing stig in the African episode
again lighten up, as the saying goes "if you can't laugh at yourself..."

I enjoy the program, but I recommend that nobody take it too seriously. I've caught them more than once being flat out wrong about things that anybody who knows anything about cars should know.

Either they don't know, or they're relating bad information knowingly. Either way that makes them less than reliable. Enjoy the show, but just realize that it is not serious automotive journalism.

I love the show to, but they are very closed minded about our country. they think that we are all fat, stupid, and eat alot of cheese. Also that our cars cant turn what so ever, despite the fact that They've tested the ford GT, the CTS V, and the roush mustang and loved them all.

Often times they screw up the stats on our cars to lol

I still would not compare a M3 to a MM :) Sorry but we would lose everytime. Its just apples and oranges. I would give you that maybe a 525 would be comparable to a MM in terms of size, but in terms of available options and luxury (even if they are just "Bells and whistles") the win would go to the 5 series. Even at the time - 2004 - I would put the MM against a 1999 or 2001 5 series though.

Just my .02cents not saying I do not like our MM but I understand what a luxury sedan is. And I agree that the CTS-V on paper looks poised to take on the M5.

I was thinking a look at a past super car much overlooked. Meets of Marauder if they are interested, which they may not, mention with permission of this place of Marauderville. Who knows a camera might just show up for a ride in 1 or 10 SC Marauders next year....

It wouldn't hurt resale or collecting to have a Top Gear spot, even with the notation of the poor fit and finish. Original inept performance, plug for the tunes and how they bring a sedate sedan to life and change a police or taxi cruiser into as Defyant says "Comfort, Class and Hair on Fire Performance."

Plus a video of 50+ Marauder's rolling down a highway parting a sea of lesser vehicles.

It's television so you know it's bad.....

I used to have respect for the show until I really paid attention and saw it was all a tease. The Toyota truck episode really got me, but watching it again changed my mind. It had a roll bar and all the other test's most 80's trucks could handle just as well. When they crashed a old car into a new car head on, the older car was lower to the ground... what do you think would happen??? The new car "LOOKED" safer. Rubbish!!!

Like when they made fun of the corvette, because it had "leafsprings like you get on a horse and buggy" I thought it was common knowledge that it has a one carbonfiber leafspring and that it actually improves the handling.

They also make fun of "the Germans" and "the French" allot. Plus Rover and Vauxhall are constantly made fun of, and they are British.

i think you have to be european to trully understand top gear, however, i think all of us agree that their videography and choice of shots is absolutelly amazing. you can press pause on any part of a car review on that show and make a poster out of the image on the screen.

i dont think their reviews are too far off either. they just use a lot of humor in there. honestly out of all the car shows i think they , for the most part, have the best review of every vehicle.

Dude your on crack, a marauder is not a super car, A Pagani or a Koenigsegg is a super car.

They dont care, about a car that is built on a chassis from 1979, all they would talk about is how it cant compare to any european cars and how the quaility is not up to their scale. And

It bongs

they'd hate that. Plus 4.6L is massive over there, yet 300hp is very lackluster, seeing as they have turbo crap box 4 bangers that put out almost that amount.

Move on to your next random thread please, thank you.
