Reinhart Tune is Awsome!!!

I have had my 2003 black Marauder (AKA Mr. Vader) since I drove it off the showroom floor 5 years ago. It has always been much faster than any other car I have driven.

As a result of favorable postings on this site I contacted Reinhart Engineering about an SCT XCAL2 tune which I understand adds about 27hp and 30 pounds of torque.

Dennis Reinhart, himself, talked to me and answered all of my questions before and after the sale. The customized tune was provided at no extra cost over the base $379 for the SCT unit (which was the lowest price on the internet anyways).

This tune is MARVELOUS!! Mr. Vader is now much more spritely and quicker around town. The shifting is much smoother and precise. What really impresses me, however, is passing some slow poke on the freeway. Going from 45 to 90 mph is dramatically faster! All 32 valves seem to open up much sooner and give me a real kick in the ass acceleration! The engine sounds like it has a turbo charger opening up. Much like my 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo did, but with a lot more power.

Isn't it amazing how a tune can make our Marauder experience so much more pleasurable....the way the factory should have done it!! :congrats:

Enjoy watching your fuel gauge needle drop quicker also lol. When I first got my tune I thought sweet more power and better gas mileage. It's only better gas mileage when you drive it without mashing the gas all the time lol.

Im about to put a tune on mine, I like to hear this kind of comment about it.

I dont think it will pull as hard as my Supra, as it makes up over 420RWHP.

And yea single turbo supra is nasty on the highway - not much can take them on the road except bikes. 1/4 is a different story though

The numbers were my best recollection from the Reinhart web site before it went down . It is now back up and you should check it out. Be sure your wife and family look at it as ideas for Christmas and Hanukah gifts. :burnout:

Hey Guys!!

So I just received my Reinhart tune today right before I had to come to work this evening. I Plugged it in, ran the 3.55-91 tune and let me tell ya.......... IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! I only wish that I had more than the 30min commute to work to play with it today, cant wait till this weekend :burnout:. I notived a BIG difference right off of the bat. The gear change from 1st to 2nd threw me my in my seat. I live for the kick in the ass Torque. The Motor with my JLT intake really does whine like theres a trilogy under there. The 4.10's are next!!!! but an SC will have to wait a year or so, cause im only 19...... gotta pull a little mor OT.

But Mr. Reinhart...... YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Gears + tune = whole new car. This combination is the way the car should have come from factory.
