The numbers are looking good! What sort of representation have we had there before? 10, 20, 30 marauders?

I'll be at SSHS8 with my Dom $ after our friendship run. New trans will be in on 9/27 so I'll be ready for the young man. See you there.

Heads up you're gonna kill me. I'll see what I can do to win. Either way it'll be a gas.

As much as I wanted to be there and have pre-registered, I will not be able to make it this year. Everything I did to the car this year ended up taking more time and money than planned, and the latest mods are no exception. When the car is ready and dialed in, I will race it, but I cannot justify hauling it 1800 miles without it being tested.

So Glenn, you've won by default my friend. Wish I could be there.

Well that is just great news - Big John! I scared you off, did I!!! I went and spent $800 on a 100 HP shot and now you tell me you can't make it!! That's just great -o'well there is always next time.

Glenn :bigcry:

I probably won't make it either as my new setup is unlikely to be ready by then. Though, I suppose I could test it out and brake it in on the way there...

Scaring me off? No, it was more like wanting to do this safely. I've got a missile and no roll bar, 5-point harness or NHRA license. It will go 9's now and I would be fooling myself to think it would just be "Ok" to race just to 660' and then shut it down without all the correct safety equipment.

By next Spring, the first two will be taken care of and I can get my NHRA license at my local track. Besides, that will give you more time to get ready!
Honestly, if it was closer I would trailer it down just to show everyone what I've done this year. Broke a lot of new ground and I'm always willing to share.

Congrats on the squeeze upgrade. I can't wait to see the video and hear all about it!

Cheers

I'll be happy to no longer need an excuse for why we don't have Marauders in the 9's!

Thats the spirit:up:. You need to caravan up with the rest of us on Friday morning, Nov 7th. Meeting at the I-75 Wildwood exit at 9 AM. Exact location will be announced soon. We'll be talking our time going up so you can brake her in nice and easy..

Never fear Big John this DD MM is not a giant killer. I am just disappointed not to see a MM beat the twin turbo Impala "Big Dog" at SSHS8. Good luck with the car and your new big block (643?) monster engine.

How about some pictures of the engine and your MM if you cannot make it to SSHS8.

Wow..577CI...now that certainly could be a 9 second car. Sure wish you had everything ready John. Like Glenn said, we need someone from our Maraauder group to be able to kick that turbo Impala's azz... Certainly will not be anyone of us:shake:. Come on John, you have another week. You guys definitely misunderstood. The 557 (typo above) is NOT in the car, that is the Winter install project. What I have should still do 9's with all the changes but it will not be ready for SSHS8. No, the 557 is to get me into the 8's!

Either way you are going to need massive power to turn those streamrollers you have on the rear of your car. When your talking 9's or lower that will not be with a 4.6 (281 CI) motor:rolleyes:..
