Well was at the local team ford dealership here in Vegas today and was thinking about getting some 4.10 gears put in so I asked for an estimate the guy made some calls and after about 10 minutes said that they wont touch marauders! I asked why he said something about liability and the warranty. I can't believe they would turn away work like this it is the same as all the mustangs they work on or maybe the 8.8 rear in the marauder is special (LoL). any who anybody got some recommendations for getting rear end work here in Las Vegas?
:burnout:

Check with any local Mustang clubs. Whomever works on Mustang rears can work on the MM rear.

Real funny. My dealer installed mine. They said as long as they are Ford Motorsport gears i was OK. I noticed you can only get 91 octane at the pump down there.... Are your smog laws similar to Califorenia? I'm thinking maybe it has more to do with emmissions.

Like FastBlackMerc said, check with the local Mustang guys. An 8.8 is an 8.8.

I asked why he said something about liability and the warranty. Liability?! That's BS. Find another dealer.

I can understand if the car is under an extended warranty because that's the same reason my dealer told me he wouldn't do my gears, but out-of-warranty that answer is baloney.

They are probably saying that because of the axle issues.

I agree, find another dealer

Any shop that is too busy, not interested, rude, or talks any smack of your vehicle no matter what is is should be droped like a bad habit and never go back. There is a difference between too busy and too busy indefinately.

I have not found any good places to get work done here in LV. Maybe call Gaudin Ford and see if they will do it. DO NOT TAKE IT TO SIGNATURE L/M they will rip you off. Try a Mustang speed shop

Yes gaudin ford is good just a long drive away for me but have always had good luck with them. Guess I might go there then. When I first got here I asked around for my 2000 vic my friend said he brought his car to a shop it was done in 1 day he went to pick it up and came to find out they didn't offer a warranty at all! What ever happened to the good old shop where you could drop your car off and know the work being done is going to be done right first time! Oh well gone are the old days.
