1370 original miles

Went to the Beloit , Wisconsin autorama car show yesterday, walked it for about 4 to 5 hours-never saw another marauder until, right before I was leaving an elderly gentleman pulls up in a 2003 300a, could not find a speck on the car. When he got out I asked him how many miles, he said 1370. He actually thought he had a 2002 because he bought it in July of that year. When I told him the rarity of the vehicle he was impressed, had no idea. He said in 1966 he bought a brand new 66 mercury cyclone that he still has in his garage -he wanted to stick with the mercury name. He is from Rockford, IL and I gave him the web info-not for sure if he was interested or not, either way, he had a spectacular marauder.

Good story.
I met a fellow last year who bought his MM used, the first owner would not give up the Marauder leather jacket.
He wrote to a big shot at Ford and they sent him one free of charge.

Now that's a better story... jeeez, give the jacket away, he doesn't even have the car to go with it, but at the end it all worked out!
