Mark from Cop Cars Online in Largo took 8 marked cruisers from his museum to both shows. I got to drive one of them. It was a retired 1997 B4C Camaro retired from my Agency back in 1997. From Pinellas County to Orlando and back, nobody would pass me. I would see them come flying up in my mirror and as soon as they saw the word Sheriff on the rear or the markings on the side they slowed.
That Camaro is the 2nd fastest car I have ever driven next to a SC Marauder I got to drive one time. As much as I love my Vic, I may have to get a retired one of the Camaros to play with and show.
At Old Town in Kissimmee I showed my CVPI too, but the Camaro was a big hit. Hundreds of people looked at it, took pics and video and asked me to take their pictures with the car. Lots of questions about the car too. The European folks that stopped by loved it.
We all then, over 200 cars did the cruise thru Old Town. I was getting hand slaps, applause and great comments as I drove through with the lights and sirens. It was an absolute blast. I can not wait until next year. I will take both cars again.
Plus at Old Town I won $25, a case of Valvoline Max Life oil, a book, a pin and a drink voucher.
