Hello gentlemen,

Does anyone know where (and which) the fuse for the Cigar Lighter located in the center console is? Mine has quite working and I cannot find a blown fuse.....

Beats me!
If it is not blown, good luck with the fix.
Report back what you find.

It might be a fusible link out under the hood...not a removeable fuse.
The cigarette lighter stays 'HOT' all the time.

Take it out and see if power gets to it. May be a bad lighter.

Got to start somewhere.

Does the plug on the dash work?

Yep the plug by the oil and alt gauges works fine... Just the one in the console quit....

I would check the wire between the two. Have you had the console apart?

I think they are. The problem may be at the dash one.

Isn't the deal in the console a power point as opposed to a lighter ? Two different sockets I think. As such I don't believe a lighter should be inserted into a power point. There might be juice there but it just doesn't fire the lighter element.

From page 59 of the owner's manual:

AUXILIARY POWER POINT
The auxiliary power point is located in the floor console storage bin.
Do not plug optional electrical accessories into the cigarette lighter. Use
the power point.
Do not use the power point for operating the cigarette lighter element.
The Maximum power each power point can supply depends on the fuse
rating. For example: a 20A fuse should supply a maximum of 240 Watts,
a 15A fuse should supply a maximum of 180 Watts and a 10A fuse should
supply a maximum of 120 Watts. Exceeding these limits will result in a
blown fuse.

Always keep the power point caps closed when not being used.

Power outlets are designed for accessory plugs only.

I believe you are correct about the "cigar lighter" in the console being a powerpoint not a lighter plug, but I was using it for my cell phone charger.. which did work but quit....

If you put a test lite on it it shold have power regardless. Thats how I would check it. Pull it out and see if there is power at the conections.

Then it is a bad fuse or unplugged where ths console wires hook up. Check arond the front of the console as it has a small harness that plugs in.

Old thread, but my cigarette lighter wasn't powering my charger for the phone but the console was. Doing a search it seemed like these two were interconnected but when checking out the owners manual the lighter is fused under the dash (#25) separate from the console power supply. Sure enough, blown fuse
