Curious thing

today i mount a seatheater in my frontseats of marauder. under the seating surface there is a transparent mat, like a foil. under the foil, there was a little air tube. this tube was link with a unit. the unit has a label from DELCO and AUTOMOTIV SYSTEM! somebody know, what this is???

it is only on the passengerseat, i mean that, at the bottom. but now i know, i´ve got an naswer at an other forum, this was the answer:

that would be the passenger weight detector for the airbag. If its a small child (less than 60 pound) the airbag goes off with less force, if its no weight the airbag stays off. In theory cheaper if you hit hard enough to deploy air bags

That was my guess. A lot of ford vehicles have the "Canister" under the seat that warns about removing it.
