Anyone interested in joining Lidio and myself this Wednesday night at Milan dragway? If all goes well we will be loading up the Marauder in the transporter around 3pm and shooting over to Milan. It would be nice to have some moral support for the new Supercharged Beast on her first real test of the new equipment. Let me know and I will give you the details.

MI2QWK4U,

Wow, I wish I could make it to that.

In case you're interested, Ford Motorsports Enthusiasts (FME) rents out Milan Dragway once a month.

I'll be taking my stock MM there on Thursday, September 18, to make some baseline (no mods) passes.

Hopefully, tomorrow goes great for you, and you can post some timeslip info!

Yours truly
Paul Erlandson

Hell yes Merc, It wont be clean after the strip, but I dont think folks will mind that when I pop that hood. What time are you heading there? Maybe you can save me a spot?

Well folks, it is official. After the dyno pulls to double check and tweak, the car will be ready for Milan. Lidio plans on leaving the shop in Mt Clemens around 2:30 in the afternoon. If we can swing it, we will stop by Trilogy and swap out the stock tires for the Nitto Drag Radials. We plan on being there just before 5 I guess. We would love to have you show up and show your support for the black beast in her Drag Debut!

Willie and DetGeno, Thanks a million for showing up. Folks we had 4 Marauders at Milan! What a great showing. Trilogy #1 and my blown #2 were there, and Willie and Geno showed up. It was my first run at a strip and if the track would have been better prepared, I would have posted some stellar numbers. As it was, I made 4 runs and Lidio thought the numbers were good for the weather and *****y weather, hot and humid. Both Willie and myself raced for the first time at a strip and it was great! I am looking forward to hooking up more in the future. Both of them took the car for as spin and I think they liked it!! Maybe they will tell you for themselves!

Sorry...I posted them on another forum! I will cut and paste that post here.

Results From Milan Dragway...
The weather was not the best, hot and humid, 87 degrees on the track and it was pretty sticky out. Now keep in mind this was my first venture actually driving at a dragstrip, so my form left something to be desired! I made 4 runs. Lidio took the Trilogy car so the drag radials were on his car, and I had to run with the stock tires. The track was terrible, and nobody was hooking up well. Lidio with the Nittos couldnt hook up either. My first attempt I tried to flat out floor it from the line with a little brake torque. The tires broke so bad I smoked them so bad I backed off a little and turned a 15.01! Someone watching later told me I smoked them almost halfway to the 1/8 mile marker. After that run I changed my launch and did better, but I never was able to manage a full throttle launch that would hook up.
Then end results were:
15.013 @ 100.88mph
13.501 @ 104.99mph
13.693 @ 103.01mph
13.699 @ 102.99mph

Willie and DetGeno showed up as well, and Willie raced for the first time too. It was a blast, and was great having 4 Marauders parked together. Lots of looks and stares, especially when 2 Marauders line up at the strip together. Although it was nice beating a Mustang GT in one of the heats. I might try it again when it cools down in the fall, I really want to see what it will do on a full throttle takeoff without spinning the tires. Enough Drag racing for me....I prefer the traffic light to light racing much more.

I will still try to make it to Roy O'briens. Sometimes it is hard for me to get out of work. I should be there no matter what. It may be closer to 6:30 or 7:00. See all of there.
