Your license plate frame

I'm thinking about changing my plate frame because of harassment from the police on my tinted plate. Yes I know it's illegal, but I got it to match the tinted backup lights. What frame do you have on your plate? I'm open to anything except a neon.

I have a "custom" frame that I got from Walmart...and you can make it to say whatever you want...I cant post mine on here but uh...PM me if you want to see...:cool:

No frame on mine at all. Probably should get one from MM.Net .... just hasn't been a big priority for me.

I just put a new OEM Ford 70's vintage stainless steel license plate frame that I've had for a long while.

i havnt had any problems yet with the tinted, but they didnt like it when i fogot to take the IHRA drag racing plate off after the track 2yrs ago

Let me just correct you on one point.

It is not Police harassment. Your over the line and YOU KNOW IT!!

It does have something to do with your age (youth) and the car itself.

I will cut you some slack and not go into you driving skills :laugh:

I use that along with a slightly tinted cover. I can see people, in the rearview mirror, often reading it at stoplights.

This is on mine front and rear. Had red tint over plate but got stopped for it, so off it came. Said they have to be able to read the plate from i think 20 feet away. The Leo even said it looked good matching the car, but because he liked the car and was in a good mood, no ticket was writen.

Ive got just plain black frame with the black bolt covers. Looks good to me and hides as much of the plate as possible. I have the tinted cover on the front

Stop it Jim; it is harassment and you know it. What you described above is called profiling because of his age and the car he drives!!!!

Just a clear plastic cover to protect the plates. No frame to obstruct anything, trying to keep the coppers off my tail. I keep them rainx'd inside and out so they stay clear. I know if a LEO wants to pull me over for it, he/she can.

I have a frame that was given to me by my brother in-law says a LEO here in town (Las Vegas KOMP 674). It is supposed to let other LEO's know I have a family member on the force. I have gotten tickets with it so I do not know how well it works. But since you seem to have run ins with the police it might help you if they have something like this in your area.

I had the skull and bones, till i found my current frames. If i can figure out a way to do it them skulls are coming off and being afixed to the current ones.
