Ok I have a 1997 Grand Marquis LS and I was wondering what would be the best mods to do to it. I'm really aiming somewhere for 350 400hp naturally aspirated. Any advice?

Have really deep wallet my friend! I put a 4 valve in my car and did a lot to it and it was only 310 hp. I think you would have to build a motor and buy a lot of parts to do this. I would SC it before I tried that as it would save you money in the long run. This is just my opinion. :)

You'd be lucky to get 300HP NA. 350 - 400HP no way!

What they said... S/C it.

I have to agree with the others...350-400 HP out of an N/A SOHC? It'd be less expensive to just buy a Marauder outright.

Do a PI head/upper intake swap, then buy a tork tek supercharger. N/A with a NPI motor, pushing 400rwhp is just to stupid and costly.

Take a gander over someplace like Sean Hyland Motorsports. Not a pitch for him or anyone else, but you'll get the basic idea of the cost you're up against. Figure around $14 for a complete crate engine for what you're looking at. If you can do the work yourself, you can probably half the price.

Ooops, forgot the K. As for the build, if you really want to, just do it. I won't call anyone stupid for daring to be different. If money was no issue I'd do it.
