So how would the MM with a JLT intake and an xcal 3 lidio tuned run against a stock late 90s GTP?

I havent been able to get to the track since i was stock, but im thinking im around a 14.5, right?

What do stock GTPs run? 14s ?

Just do it from a 40mph roll ;)

you will not run a 14.5 with just the jlt

I have a mildly worked GTP and I ran Blackened300a's MM at our "private track" he had a buncha stuff done to his at the time and I pulled off the line and kept ahead thru 1st gear, now all the OTHER gears were a totally different story. LOL, at the time I had a CAI and U-Bend delete, no tune and didn't up the boost. If you are totally stock save for JLT he will get you off the line and thru at least 1st, probably through 2nd, it would be a game of catch up for you towards the end of the 1320, if he gets a bad launch I think you would walk him but otherwise it would be pretty close. They are beasts in the lower RPM range, where we lack, but they are severely lacking above 4k or so where we excel.

Found the vid, yea i was pretty much butthumped:

A GTP should not be underestimated, They aren't as slow as you'd think.

^^ I agree, with they are not to be taken lightly.
You run into one highly modified, you will have your work cut out.
When I was N/A (Best 14.2)and got my azz handed to me by a GTP going up hill at speed.
I got beat at Bryron last time out by a modified GTP ran 13.0 to my 13.4

JLT and Xcal3 is what i stated.

Where do you think that will put me down the 1320?

A stock Gtp with good driver will get mid to high 14's. Some will claim faster but its its rare and probably in negative DA. Mod for mod, the Gtp will dominate in my opinion. I've had several Gtp's and a Regal that all ran 12's, and that was slow compared to what most others were running. But at the end of the day its still a FWD.

I just remember my SHO always getting its ass kicked by my buddy's stock 2dr GTP. Even with nitrous I could barly keep up.

M90 + Pushrods, LOTSA torque.

I ran a non S/Ced one on the street and edged him out. He told me at the next light that his car is suppose to do a 14.9 in the quarter, but he had never gone. I also met a guy w/ a S/Ced one that said they do 14.0-14.2 stock. So it really depends. If you run against a blown one, you'll lose. If you run a non s/ced one, it'll be close.

the non sc'd 3.8 is a 15-15.5 1/4 mile in the W-cars. It's only 205 horsepower! If it's totally stock it's not faster than a low to mid 15. I ran 15.89 w/ that engine in a LeSabre (with a performance PCM flash, the Lesabre also had a steeper transaxle ratio, 2.80something vs the W cars 3.0x transaxle).

Ken,

This is almost exactly what I ran at Tri-State two summers ago with just the JLT and Xcal2. I was actually a 14.7 @ 97 mph. And in the group that went there was a guy with a current body style, bone stock GP GTP. He was running consistent 15.2-15.5 range on his runs. And he would get maybe a fender length jump off the line, but that was it.

Now, a GTP with CAI, pulley, tune, down pipe should take a good number of N/A Marauders. Those cars are no slouches by any means.

But, bone stock GTP against Marauder with CAI and tune the Marauder should win - although not by a whole lot. And from a roll the Marauder will take the GTP as they are not a top end car - unless they get some breathing help and new rockers to help on the top end...
