A few years back I had an Older Rolls Silver Shadow, a guy stopped me in a gas station (he had a Corniche coupe) and he offered me a stupid amount for the car too. (Like 4k) I told him to follow me to the bank and I would give him 5k for his car cash on the spot.
He didnt want to sell me his car, and I asked why, and he said it was worth more than that.
So I said to him, WTF? You offered me 4k for mine, so I am going to give you 1000 more for yours so sell it to me right now. He refused again. So, I guess your offer was as stupid as mine then and he got back in his car and drove away with a dumb look on his face.. J.O....

Yeah. I had some kid try to offer me $3000.00 for my car. I told him I would take $20,000. He said for that much money I could get an Altima! I said go ahead.

After I bought my SB and was in the driveway removing the pin stripes a neighbor came over and asked me if I wanted to sell the black one to him.
I told him it was already sold on ebay and he flipped. Said he wanted to offer me 14k for it. ****! I sold it for 10,900! He gave me his business card and told him if I ever sell the SB to call him first.

Sometimes people will ask if the Marauder is for sale and I say no. The Blazer used to get people asking me at least three times a day as to a point where it got annoying so I had a decal made that said "Not For Sale." People stil ask and I get really mad when people say they'll give me $500 for it. Next person that says that might have a meeting with their eye and my fist. :mad2:

atleast your offered less and you know better ...I have a relative who thinks everything he owns is made of gold,he has a 73 dodge powerwagon that has so much rust only the paint is holding it together everything is seized and the drivers side window has been fully down for 15 years...someone offered him 1500 for it because it has a few parts that the buyer needs for a restoration or something and my relative refused...lol

My stock answer to "how much do you want for it" is "fifty grand". That usually shuts them up. If I should run across someone that will actually take me up on it, then I can use the cash to buy even more marauders. :)

I have thought about: what if some one offers me a sum that I can use to pay off my bills...and buy another Marauder and still have some cash left over....(it would take less than 40K). All though its not realistic, but it could happen....would I take that money and get another Marauder? Or Not beable to bear the thought of giving up my beloved Marauder that I have spent so much time on and with for another Marauder.....I know that 11,052 are supposed to be pretty darn similar...but it just wouldn't be the same to me.....you know what I mean....or is it just me that thinks that way?

I dont think i'd be able to give my car up to just a stranger, i'd sell it to someone who'd hang on to it and let me see it :)

Anything is for sale for the right amount of money. Planning on keeping the MM but if someone came up and had cash in hand for more than the car was worth, they could have it and I'd buy an even lower mileage one. Then again at the rate I rack up miles now that I bought a dedicated DD car, my 34k mile car is going to outlast me before needing a rebuild, so having even lower mileage doesn't exactly gain me much.

I found out what a 2004 SB with a sunroof is worth when I asked TJA to sell me his - or give me dibs if he sells it. He told me to "go buy you own - I ain't sellin' it". Well, I did exactly that and have never regretted it. With the mods, upgrades and heart-stopping stereo in mine, I don't think $30,000 is beyond a practical asking price. Honestly though - it's not for sale. Go buy your own.

The ones who offer you $4k for it are probably CVN kiddies who buy all their vomit comets from police auctions.
...or else they assume YOU'RE one of those and don't know the value of your car...

A lot of mods are actually detractors in value, or at least, don't increase the value. Short of a super charger, anything else will probably be a wash over a well kept stock MM. I'd rather buy a totally stock one if I bought another. Some of the goofy things people do to these cars would make me shy away from buying them.

I take offense to that comment. My vomit comet lasted a good 4 years before i had to shop around for a new vehicle, and i still have it now.
Its really hard to drive it after driving the MM it(being vomit comet) just feels old:geezer:

whoa whoa whoa whoa, dont put yourself up on the pedestal, well at least the first one is just wrong....
the second one, i admit i would try it, but hey if youre stupid enough to fall for it, than you dont deserve a marauder...lets face it, there are marauder owners out there that do not know the value of these cars.

Two people have stopped and taken pictures.
One in a gas station said he didn't know they came in red.
