Anyone have info on using Amber CV tails on the MM?

I want to use Crown Vic Sport tailights on my MM with the Amber turnsignal built into the lens. I have a set of 99 CV taillight harnesses, but they do not plug into the MM body harness. Has anyone does this conversion?

Why would you want to downgrade the MM to a 99 CV? :dunno: I can understand people trying to make their car a MM lookalike, but visa versa?

I too might be installing 4-bulb harnesses in my Marauder.

The amber turn signal is very bright and distinct when in a river full of red lights. I don't know why Ford got away from that and also went to a two bulb harness unless it was another cost cutting measure. Personally, I liked the amber signal. I just wished the red lense was darker.

I asked Steve Babcock at MV-II one night why no amber turn signal in the rear? Steve said they wanted to stay with the all black look.

For those who suggested the search function, why don't you search and see what you come up with because I didn't spend 45 minutes searching 10 different combinations of Crown Vic Tailight, Amber Taillights, etc etc etc just to start this thread and expect the results to be dropped in my lap. I hate asking questions on forums when there are search Nazi's around who would rather tell me to search than just be helpful.

I'm going to stop by a local Ford dealer that has an 03 LX CV and I'll check out the harnesses they have to see if it matches the Marauder body harness.

For those who wonder why I'm doing this, 99-01 Mustang Cobras have an amber turn signal built into the taillight housing. I want my Marauder to stand out from the crowd and touch on my love for Mustangs. Its not a downgrade, I'm changing parts around to make my Marauder what I want.

Drew, I have always like the amber turn signal as well. But needs to be tinted to match what a MMs lamps look like.

Its a overseas issue IIRC more than anything. Maybe the arab export vics have em now?
