Driving home tonight, I found myself pulled up next to a LEO at a red light. I beat him off the line and pulled 4 car lengths ahead without breaking a sweat. Of course he wasn't even trying.....probably didn't even notice. LOL! Anybody had a real dual with a cop in their Marauder?

In new jersey you probably could do that and get away with it
just make sure they are on the pizza run!

With all those leaves stuck all over it from this morning, he probably thought it was a Toyota Camry and not worth the effort. :P I suspect that you backed off when you got close to the posted speed limit. :D
:jk:
My right foot has an involuntary reflex whenever I see a marked police car or even a suspected unmarked car. The foot lifts immediately -- totally uncontrolled. :o A duel ..... No Way!!!

Been playing a game with the locals and HP around here...whoever bluelights me first has to go heads up all motor at the next redlight ... whoever has the lead at 70 mph wins and then pulls over ... been doing that alot so the guys can see what they where up against ... even the Traffic 'Stangs and such are envious ... :D They do know its me as I have a memorial banner at the bottom of my rear window with my name on it too so I cant really screw around too much !

I've done the real deal a couple times here with a buddy of mine that's a LEO. Everytime I pull up to shoot the bull he's always talkin about "Man I want a Marauder".
One night down Dixie Hwy we were runnin em, I pulled way ahead.. I'd let it idle till he caught up, then cobbed down on it again. I did that a couple miles down the road till we hit the county line and I figured I'd back off then (I don't know too many cops in the neighboring county).
I guess screwin around with the 5-0 is part of the perks of the job, I've been a systems admin for the courthouse for 3.5 yrs and got to know everyone :D

A few of us had the pleasure of being allowed to attend sessions of the Persuit Trainig school being taught by a fellow MM owner. It was great fun to go head-to-head on a track and legally. No MM was ever defeated by a Crown Vic and the other instructors were very impressed with the Marauder's handling. I have also seen the MM run against the Impala PI and the Charger PI--we didn't take a back seat to anyone--the superior handling and high end speed paid off. All the running was done on closed course or oval. You should have seen their faces when they drove Buckwheat's Trilogy--lots of fun and amazing what these cars will do, even with non-pro drivers. Our access is over, but fond memories will last forever. Maury:burnout::burnout:
Very nice, but what Blue said!
And I wouldn't try that here myself. Da Law 'round 'er make their pensions on reckless driving charges.
Though just tonight I was driving like I stole it, and then as I'm crossing the overpass for the train tracks I'm buzzing to make the light across the large intersection and I cut off a cop who was trying to steal it too.
I throw on a blinker and swing right, and they looked on like they'd never think a panther make so tight a turn.

Back in Sept of '02 the first weekend I had mine, raced several Depatments on the old steel plant road in Tullytown:)
[note very little if any traffic]
Several just shook their head after loosing. Many just wished Ford would someday put the DOHC engine in the police version............

I was getting on I-95 in Walterboro, SC a couple years ago when what do I see in the rear view.....a county cop in a Dodge Hemi Magnum!!!
I turned onto the ramp with him behind me and proceeded with a WOT "merge" maneuver.....all the while watching him "moon walk" with the nose of his car high!!:D
I entered the interstate at about 75 MPH and of course he blew by me on the way to a call BUT he gave me a BIG  as he went by!!!:D
I have seen him several times since and he always asks about the Marauder.....some of the LEO's around here are cool car guys!!
