I see that I am a Member of the BUCKEYE MARAUDERS.
What does that do for me?
Can I send a message to all of the other Members who are members of the BUCKEYE MARAUDERS?
Am I supposed to get an Update when something is posted in the Buckeye Marauders Forum?
How can I see who all else is a member of this group, or any group for that matter?

That is interesting....no quote, mquote or quick tabs on post 3....
But anyway....I know how to get there and how to ask to join a group.....its just that my group is not on that list so therefore you cant ask to join it

Your copy and paste includes a "<select>" tag that is ,missing its closing tag. That fubared the existing form code for the post.

See next message. You are correct that the post cannot be modified from our end. An admin can likely edit the data to strip it out and that would "fix' it. But why bother.

Closer look shows the select closing tag is there but the controls block of code is missing. Hmmm...

Frikkin' CODE tags don't work! Supposed to show the tags (i.e, HTML Encode the code) rather than render them. Bah!

Ah....an oversight on my part. When I created the Alamo Area forum, I didn't think about also creating an Alamo user group. All set. Have I missed any other area group?

I started that Buckeye user group many many moons ago when there were only a few other user groups.
It's sole purpose was to track active members in an area, region, or lo-cal with the hopes of getting to know each other and quickly notify said members of local events and gatherings.
I feel that the Sunshine State group takes best advantage of their list as they seem to really keep in touch and gather together.
As far as our group, I have deleted many Buckeye members from our list for inactivity (not logging in) on the board for more than two years.
I have used the list most recently to contact ALL of our local members to invite them to EAM-IV. Unfortunately, one can still only PM five members at a time even in that forum, so the list is only partially helpfull.
It is unfortunate as well, that the majority, perhaps 80% on our list, do not reply to PM's even though they log into the site occationally.
Our group for the most part, has turned into a dud.:o

At the bottom of the Regional/Club Forums is a link for "View Forum Leaders" here >>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showgroups.php
That will show you who else is "enrolled" in a particular group.

IUnfortunately, one can still only PM five members at a time even in that forum, so the list is only partially helpful.
I copy and paste the basic first message and send it out in batches to 5 members at a time for CAM notifications. Not ideal ... but it gets the job done.
