I think it would be your A/C head unit. The whole device that you set the temp and fan below the radio. Can you still control the speed of the fan or vents? If not or if they change for you it's yur A/C head unit. It's an easy fix, but a costly one of you go to a dealership for the part. I got mine at a junkyard out of a 2003 GM for like $180. I heard you can get them as low as $60 from a reproduction company, but I would stick to OEM parts.

Im having this problem with my Crown Vic and I fear that the blender door may be the issue. Its a $70 part but it will take almost 6 hours to replace. A dealer can charge up to $700 in labor for this job. I may replace the head unit as well and hope for the best.

The ATC head unit is also expensive.
I did a blend door actuator on the GMQ a couple weeks ago.
I got help from the F/L/M dealer techs at work.
They saved me a ton of time on a couple shortcuts, and help pulling the dash back after everything is disconnected.
Do the self test so you don't waste your hard earned money on parts that will not correct the problem.
I had the R&R instructions from larryo340, he e-mailed them to me.
best of luck.
