Has anybody had problems like this where the paint is peeling out of the badge?

Mine are still in the bubble wrap that they came in. Others have said that their badges are fine after many years of wear. Have heard of some weathering; but nothing like in your pic.

Mine are black.....did you ever run any of them in red Marty??

Could be the black is coming off and the reddish color is a primer....huh??:cool4:

Mine look just like that. I plan to repaint them this week. Then clear them with a good ureathane clear.
BTW, I have them on my polished coil covers so sunlight was not a factor but heat may have been.

Ouch! Mine are looking very tired :(, but not that bad. They will probably be taken off next spring. Such is the curse of the daily driver here in MN.

93,000 miles and 5 years--slightly faded--good polish brings the color out--very pleased with them.

I recently came into a brandy new pair, still in the package. Just don't know what I'm going to do with them ;)

Hi. Where can you get these fender badges? Are they still available? I would like a pair. People around here (I'm in Maine) thought I dressed up a Merc Grand Marquis. They are shocked when I tell them my car came this way from factory.

Try some Scratch X on them.

Try buffing them with a little rubbing compound, that will take off the "yellowish" oxidation.

Mine had a "water spots" look to them...
I carefully polished them with Polishing compond and then put a good coat of wax/polish on them and now they look good as new...;)
