I was searching Craigslist in Chicago a few minutes ago for Marauder stuff and found an ad for a MM wheel and tire and this link was posted inside it.
Whose car was this? I don't think there's a single piece of sheet metal on it left unbent. :bigcry:

Very sad pics. :bigcry: Looks like it rolled several times. Seems to have been hit hard in the left rear by something large and high. :dunno: For a moment, I thought that the hood was undamaged. I was wrong. :o

I'm going to try to get the VIN,other info about the car,(miles, mods, etc.) see who the owner was,get info about the accident and try to find out which junkyard if any will have the car later this afternoon.
BTW,I know you're compiling a list of "dearly departed" MM's,is anyone compiling pictorial records of wrecked MM's and accident info and injuries,if any to the cars occupants?

I just got a call from the guy selling the spare wheel and tire for the car's owner.Evidently the guy only had the car 6 months before he wrecked it.He was flying in the rain and rolled the car and ended up hitting a wall with the rear end.Ins has totaled the car and has it now.The only other parts the guy has for the car are the owners manual stuff in the cloth binder,a K&N panel filter and a Superchips Micro Tuner that would have to be sent back to Superchips and have the tunes restored as he didn't return the stock tune to the car.
The owner may call me with the VIN and I'll try to find out which ins company has the car in case somebody has a dealers license and wants to buy it for parts but I doubt he'll call me back.
The ad on Craigslist has the unpolished spare wheel and new tire on it and the guy wants $275,I told him even if it's a new rear tire on it that's pretty steep and $175 would be more realistic, but I doubt that did any good. Oh well.
Also, the driver was banged and bruised some but otherwise alright,he was wearing his seat belt. The MM did it's job and gave it's life for him.
And I just took a better look at the pics and see they're dated Nov. 2007,this car must be long gone.

Hi UncleLar! It would be cool to know where its destination would be and also some kind of a pic. portfolio and info on the dearly departed MM's.

I'm glad to hear he survived, as for the car... it's a shame. I guess he wasn't a member here, but I wouldn't mind scrounging for some of those parts.
