View Full Version : Popped the BLUEberry........not the cherry

Well, I did it. You may have seen in Killjoy's post. I took BLUE down the track at US 41. First time I've ever been on the track (yes, I'm addicted now:burn:), and the first time was 14.71. I got a little experience, got the dead weight out of the car (sorry Zack) and by the fourth run here's what I had:

It's nothing that is going to set a world's record, but being a MOSTLY STOCK "slowa$$ BLUE" I think she did pretty good. All she has is a K&N, 4:10's and a "Zack tune". I even had street tires on her. New tune to be installed when I get the time, should shave a little more off (thanks Zack).

I am left wondering though, if I had a little more experience, or a more experienced driver took her.......would she beat justbob's car :eek: I'm less than a second and a half away.

It was a great night indeed! I brought her down to 12.92 at 106 with a 1.8 60'. This is with stock pulley on the trilogy, flowmaster delta 40's, mickey thompson drag radials 245/40/18, and headlight out (2 tenths gained) and thats it.

I know I'm going straight to hell for that one. :lol: Sorry Bob. :sorry:

Where were you today?
Sorry, I really really REALLY HAD to get this painting done today. I did my house twice (prime and paint) then primed 3 rooms, then painted 7 rooms. I started a project that had to get done. I painted for 12 hours today. Wish I was there. :(

Congrats Earin! You clicked off a VERY good first time out!

Coming to think of it.... I should have let you use my tires. The smaller size would have increased the effective gearing, and perhaps knocked a few tenths off????

Personally, I would not modify you car any more. Keep you Mods as they are.... and BRACKET :D Oh yeah..... get new tires ;)

:thanks: I really wished I could have been there today. Thanks to everyone who has gotten me involved in these events and a special thanks to vacation boy for getting me over the nerves to get that first one cranked out. After that, I couldn't wait for the next run. I really don't see the needs for any more mods, especially spending 6K+ when she did what she did.:D I'm estatic. I really am. ........and if you know me, I really don't get excited about much, so this is a BIG thing for me. Thanks again all.
